Oh hello…?!

One, two, three… is this thing still on? — Oh, hello!

So, sometime in the last three years you subscribed to this newsletter. It was supposed to be a way to keep track of what I am up to.

Well, in these three years you received exactly 0 (zero) updates. Sorry about that. But, hey, today is the day…!

A lot happened. But I’ll keep this one short and won’t go into details.

I just want to let you know that this newsletter won’t be what you signed up for. But then at the same time it also kind of will be. Huh?

I am repurposing this newsletter and change the subject to a specific topic that I’ve spent a lot of time on in the last few years: How can we create better software, better products, better things?

Of course, I can’t claim that I know how to do that. But I learned a few fascinating things from linguists, cognitive scientists, architects, mathematicians, and artists over the years that I’d like to share with you. Along the way, perhaps we can find out together how to build better things?

This means today you will receive not just this letter you are reading right now, but another one that will start the weekly series which I tentatively named Mirror of the Self for reasons that are hard to explain but will unfold over the coming weeks.

I’d love for you to hang around and join me on this journey, but of course I also understand if this is not what you originally signed up for (if you even remember that you subscribed to this in the first place). You can unsubscribe any time, and I’ll be sad to see you go, but maybe give it a chance and see what you think?

Ok, that’s it for this short announcement. Stay tuned for Mirror of the Self, Edition 1, coming to your inbox later today (and then once per week, hopefully every Friday).
